Europan Protectorate

One of the major Belt Powers of the 64th Century, the Europan Protectorate is an authoritarian regime that covers the moons of Jupiter and the Trojans. Its heart is the Jovian moon Europa, an industrial powerhouse that allowed for the original colonization of Jupiter at the dawn of the Solar Age. In the 62nd century ultranationalism took root in the main political party located there and the Protectorate was formed in 6130. This led to the Protectorate War, a brief but bloody conflict of six years. At the end of this war the majority of the Habitats of Jupiter and the Trojans were under Protectorate control.

The leader of the Protectorate is called the Autocrat.

Personal freedoms are limited within the Protectorate and emphasis is placed on duty and obedience. However the citizens of the Protectorate are wealth and well protected. The Protectorate Defence Force remains one of the best military forces of modern time and easily repels any Pirate and Roid incursions from the Hildas.
