Earth Empire

“We tend to characterize the Earth Empire as the villains of the Solar System but the truth is more complex. A thousand years is a long time. Whilst much of the Empre's rule was authoritarian there were periods of enlightenment and benevolence. ” - Marjit Telsen, The Unification, 6277

The Earth Empire is the name given to a series of regimes based upon Earth between the 26th to the 35th Centuries. The common characteristic of these governments was to impose tight control over the extraterrestrial locations and see them as colonies.

The dominance of Earth was ended with the emancipation of Mars. The Battle of Phobos is seen by many historians as the point that the Earth Empire came to an end.
