The original concept was for a Mininal Viable Product fighter, something that would be cheap and easy to mass produce. So I envisioned something that would be very boxy. The problem with that was it did not look particularly good as a model, so over a number of iterations the fighter became slimmer and the basic shape was offset by colourful paint schemes.
